Law enforcing agencies
will interrogate seven sectarian prisoners of the banned
Lashkar-e-Jahangvi (LJ) to obtain information about the
suspects of the Sailkot, Multan and Lahore bombings.
Sources said that the decision was taken
after the suspects who were arrested in connection with
the Sailkot and Multan bombings, had told the authorities
that the LJ was still operating in small groups.
The sources added that the suspects belonged
to Lahore, Okara, Jhang, Faisalabad and Sailkot and were
detained in Multan and Lahore.
These sectarian prisoners’ accomplices
were involved in the recent incidents of terrorism and
the government hoped that some clues could be collected
though interrogation, said the sources.
According to the sources, the Interior
Ministry had asked law enforcing agencies to interrogate
the prisoners and to start a crackdown against their accomplices.
They seven prisoners being investigated were Ghanzafar
Ali from Lahore, Aslam Muwaia from Okara, Muhammad Saleem
from Faisalabad, Ikhlaq Ahmad Jhang, Mukhtar Ahmad of
Jhang, Muhammad Aziz from Lahore and Haroonur Rahman from
